Was surfing around for ways to make digital photos look like lomo shots, particularly from the LCA lomo cam. I found this guide and was able to do these tests:

After hours and hours of painful (but fun) research, I finally gave in and got myself another prime: the Sigma 30mm f/1.4. Between this and the Canon 50mm f/1.8, I figure I’m all set for walkarounds and gigs. I haven’t done any practical shots yet, but here’s one i particularly like when i tested the lens out.
Ah, what a feeling of power. Primes rule!
For the life of me, I cannot decide on what my next lens should be.
As already mentioned, I got my 50mm about a week ago. It takes really great pictures, and I’m really impressed with it. However, the focal length is too long when used indoors at small venues – you mostly just get to take portraits. So, I figured I need a zoom lens that can go wide.
Or do I?
Another option that comes to mind is to purely use primes. For one, they are compact and light, especially those spec’d for my needs (mostly low-light shooting). Maybe I should get a 30mm or 35mm for use indoors, then the 50mm (and maybe a future 85mm, drool) for outdoor / walkaround use. Maybe, maybe, maybe.
So why not just one zoom lens to cover the range I need? That answer is very easy: the quality of images you get from primes is ASTOUNDING. I mean it.
Alas, what have I gotten myself into.
I just learned that this Outerhope song is already being played on the local radio NU107 – more than several times. Definitely a big deal. So here’s featuring Sky High Blue.
